Kayaks Children Summer Kayak Camp introduces children to

Day one: The workings &
terminology of a true coastal kayak is explained. Each student is fitted to |
|
| Day
Two: The wet exit and self rescue and assisted rescue is
demonstrated, instructed and performed by each student within the protected harbor.
After each student has practiced the wet exit, NJ Kayaks guide take a
longer kayak tour to and within the shallow water creeks and salt ponds of the surrounding
Wildlife Refuge where varied coastal birds can be observed. |

| Day
Three: Depending on the weather and the interests of the students, NJ Kayak
will, for many, introduce the students to fishing, crabbing or sailing. This is a
great opportunity to experience Day Four: The students take a five to six mile extended kayak tour through the E.B.F. Wildlife Refuge. This fun adventurous paddle is a great opportunity to review all skills of kayak touring, view the wildlife and natural beauty of the refuge and build confidence in hopefully a lifelong sport. For a congratulation end of course, a class cookout picnic is provided with parents welcome. |

Kayak Children's Kayak Camp are: June 30th-July 3rd July 14th-17th July 28th-31st Aug 11th-14th Ages: 9 to 15 yrs maximum 12 children per date Fee is $55 a day for a total of $220 More then 1 child from family - $ 20 per child |

| Students should bring water shoes or old sneakers, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, bathing suit, windbreaker, change of cloths, bottled water and a healthy light snack during kayak tour. Bring lunch for when they return from kayak tour. | |
