All paddlers are supplied with comfortable kayak life vests, not motor
boat basic vests that ride up and are uncomfortable for paddling. We can fit the paddlers and their paddling goals from our extensive fleet of boats from touring sit-on-tops to cockpit singles or doubles. our fleet At NEW JERSEY KAYAK Our goal is give you the skills and confidence to navigate your own kayak to safe fun filled adventure. |
| Instruction: Novice Learn the basic skills for safely paddling a kayak. In addition we will introduce the paddlers to the adventure of sea kayaking by taking your newly learned skills to explore the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge. |

1/2hr course $45 Two lessons daily morning 10am-12:00am
and afternoon 2pm-4:00pm These hours are meant as a guide and are flexible to the needs of the group, marina and weather conditions. | This
course is recommended and mandatory in renting a kayak if no prior paddling
experience or comfort in a kayak. This is for your increased enjoyment
and your safety. The waters directly in the Edwin B. Forsythe National
Wildlife Refuge are safe, in that the waters are shallow and the marsh
gives protection from the wind. However the first lesson learned is
to respect the water and to be aware of the basic skills to safely navigate
the wildlife refuge. Daily Guided Tours of the refuge are available and is a good way to experience kayaking with friends and family. Instruction is limited to 6 kayaks and a minimum of 4 is desirable. Custom basic instruction and can be arranged for your convenience |
