| New Jersey Kayak has developed a unique Sea Kayak Instruction Program that combines kayak basic paddling, advance paddling, rescue techniques and safety in a exciting course we call "Kayak BootCamp". | |
| The five hour "Bootcamp" coastal sea kayak instruction course is held at our waterfront location on Barnegat Bay and much of the instruction, demonstrations and exercises are practiced on the open water of Barnegat Bay. The "open water" experience means we will adventure into Barnegat Bay no matter what the conditions, except lightning, to practice and experience all that has been taught. | |
| The Kayak Bootcamp has been
developed for those who have had previous training in sea kayaks and want to refresh their
skills, for those interested in a fast track approach to the sea kayak experience and for those seeking a fun adventure sport for life and health. Personal ACA (American Canoe Association) certified attention throughout your instruction! |
|
| Participant requirements: Of good health and reasonable athleticism, not necessary to swim but very comfortable in water, pervious kayak experience helpful but not necessary, however come eager to learn new adventure sport. |
|

base for a short break, lunch and review second half of instruction. After lunch we will paddle to new location on Barnegat Bay for rescue classes: Self rescue with float bag and assisted rescue with team mate.
